Baniya Samaj also referred to as the Agarwal Community is a large and prestigious caste in India. The Agarwals are predominantly a trading community of Northern India. Though, with changing times Agarwals have entered into professions as well.
Legend
The roots of Agarwal community have been traced to a village in Haryana called Agroha. The Agarwal community is said to be descent from the Maharaja Agrasen of Agroha. Various legends about Agroha and Maharaja are found amongst Agarwals.
About Maharaja Agrasen
Maharaja Agrasen, the Messenger of King, was the son of King Ballabh of Pratapnagar about 5000 years ago. King Ballabh was a Suryavanshi and fathered eighteen children, Maharaja Agrasen was the eldest.
According to an account in the Mahalakshmi Vrat Katha manuscript, Mahalakshmi prompted Maharaja Agrasen to adopt the Vaishya tradition (business) and give up Kshatriya tradition for prosperity in his kingdom. Maharaja Agrasen was a compassionate king and did as he was asked to. Mahalakshmi asked him to lay the foundation of a new kingdom and promised that with her blessings his descendants would flourish and be wealthy. True to his words and for the love of his people, Maharaja Agrasen traveled across India with his queen in search for a suitable place for his new kingdom. He finally settled in Agroha.
About Agroha
Agroha is located at a distance of about 20 Km from Hissar, a city in Haryana. It was once a prosperous city and renowned for its bravery. However, due to ravages of time it has lost its prestige and name in the pages of history. The glorious foundation of Agroha laid by King Agrasen crumbled under ruthless foreign invasions of Greeks, Hunas and Yavanas. Their invasions led to the disintegration of various kingdoms in North India. With disintegration of Agroha, the residents traveled to nearby states of Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Malwa and found new homes. They took up common surname Aggarwal, Agarwal, or Agrawal that is Agroha-Wale (from Agroha).
Concept Of Gotras
The republican state of Agroha, established by Maharaja Agrasen, consisted of 18 units. The head or leader of each unit was given a Gotra. All the people of that state were acknowledged and differentiated by that particular Gotra. Maharaja Agrasen maintained that any matrimonial alliance could not be arranged between boy and girl from the same Gotra. A Jindal boy could not marry a Jindal girl, but he could find a matrimony partner in any other 17 partner. This rule promoted brotherhood and harmonious relations amongst the 18 units represented by the Gotras.

Life is divided into Four parts according to Indian culture:-
1. Brahmcharya 2. Grehstha 3. Vaanprast 4. Sanyas
First stage goes up to 25 years of age. In this age or part of life native gets education and adopt the importance of quality like Love, Affection helps to each other and service of mankind.
The Second stage is called Grehasth Ashram. In this stage native get married and take oath that they will share their woe and weal for whole Life. From that day they understood that they are made for each other and after that they gives birth to his new generation and they move in society with love, affection, serve to other and adopt the teaching of elders and religion .It is very essential for peace and prosperity of the society
The Third stage is Vaanprast. In this stage person renounces the world and give his responsibilities to his next generation and self goes to outer places to know himself and serve to society. But it is duty of every person not to leave his or her responsibility .He can serve the society from the core of the heart with his own responsibility
The Fourth stage is Sanyas. Sanyas is only for those people who have no affection with the society. But in Kalyug Vaanprast Ashram is a last stage.
If peep into history then only Grehsath Ashram (Married life) is a best stage. Only Grehsath Ashram provides and gives shelter to other three Ashram.
Only Grehsath Ashram (Married life) complete life's four duties. Which is Religion, Finance, Sex and surrender means. Dharam, Arth, Kaam and Moksha. So only married life is the best stage of life. |

To choose the good period and time for the beginning of any type of good work is called MUHURAT. Everybody wants that beginning of his work should be in auspicious time because fruits of that work depend upon good muhurata. Everybody knows that well begun is half done. But generally some people say that it should be happen which God writes in our favor. Then what is the use of muhurata ? But if we believe in this rule act than there is no need to done any work or duty. It is not possible at all. As per Vedic system every body comes to this world on the basis of sanchit karma's and we will have to do our duties. We have to come as a human being to change our duties to pure our soul and self-upliftment rather then to do only balance duties of previous birth which is written by god in our fate. So that why every religion give the inspiration that to do good deeds, jaap , donate and to improve yourself.
At the time of Birth as per planets position in Zodiac begets woe and weal in this materialistic world. It means when we take birth in this world, it is the Muhurata of life's journey. Similarly we start any work like starting of shop, entrance of newly built home, timing of marriage, starting of new house or any important work of life. At that time when we start that work we get woe and weals form that particular work. As per planetary position in this Zodiac. In routine life we hear so many times the marriage ceremony should not be taken place when the Venus is combust (Tara Duba). Because, Venus is the karka for marriage .It gives all comforts related to married life. It should be in pure form at the time of marriage. If one's horoscope Venus combust then at the Muhurata of marriage Kundli the Venus is in pure form of that native.
If the venus is deblitated in horoscope then marriage should at that time when Venus is exalted in Muhurata of Marriage Kundli. So as per Muhurata we can reduce the problems particular portion of life. So when we are going to any important work in our life then karka for the particular work should be pure.
As per my View, we should opt for good Muhurata instead of Kundli Milan which type of match making is taking place in these days. |

Marriage is sacred relationship between husband and wife. In Hindi language we say Vivah to marriage. Vivah word is made from combination of two words Vi+ Vah. Vi means Vishishit means Important and Vah means Nirvah means understanding. Understanding with some one important which is made for you only. In married life we do understandings with our life partner with his or her evils weakness and with lot of love and affection .We gave him or her full respect.
The ancient tradition of the marriage is very deep rooted into the vedic system. Among the shodash sanskaar's the marriage is considered to be most important namely as Vivah sanskaar. Normal human being is incomplete in this materialistic world. For the completion one is to complete to all the assigned duties. These duties are mainly four Dharma, Arth , Kaam and Moksha. Generally these are miss- interpreted by common men.
DHARAM :-
Actual meaning of Dharam is not actually the Dharam but also truth fullness, non-violence, kindness, love and spiritual in lightness. While living in this materialistic word and completing the duties towards the family.
ARTH:-
The actual meaning of Arth is to know the essence of the nature that hardly means financially strong .The literal meaning of Arth is to know. But the general interpretation in taken by common man as financial stability, luxury goods like car, having a huge properties but reality lies somewhere else that states to knows the mysteries of the nature to know the creator and to amend the public.
KAAM :-
The common man generally is at the mercy of the people those who have little knowledge they are misguiding the gullible. By these own institution are spoiling the society. Generally Kaam is miss interpreted as Sex but it is incomplete and wrong because actual meaning of kaam is achievements. The achievements of goal through sex that is to make the family and to further increase the Vansh. This is very important that hardly means the physical relation. The only physical relation considered as the worst in the Vedic system. This is the achievements, adoption of the emotions and honor. When male and female both are together they get complete. This is the mutual love to complete a person. When they are not together than a person is incomplete. The respect to the partner is so high. The lord shiva named the wife Ardhangini. That is the half. No man is complete without wife and No wife is complete without her husband.
In Vedic system this is the most sacred union of two soul rather than two bodies. But the lust of human's has mitigated has all the religious value is and start believing pre-marital sex. This is against the value's because in the word of fastness, the important of patience is lost. It becomes impossible to control the physical attraction and sexual last for common human being. The ancient saza’s and rishies elevated themselves from these materialistic lusts. They have elevated developed so high. They have given the equal importance to there spouse.
Crime for the sex is on the high rise. Due to this humanity looses its dignity. Comparing to the animals has no brains which have reported any sex crimes the human's with brains repeating it continuously. Equalizing their mental level to animals against are religious values. In the religion the marriage is door tolds the heavens into various step by completing the duties of lord brahma THE CREATER, The Vishnu THE PROVIDER, The SHIVA that is the completeness. We can complete the duties of brahma by giving them good education, good sanskaar's high value's society. We became Vishnu and this is the totally satisfaction for that is lord Shiva.
Now in the modern society the base of marriage is very weak. The divorce is in the routine matter. The separation of two human being otherwise thus the loss of two families. The life of coming generation is without any higher values. But will be full of social stigma’s. Actually marriage is process of completion like |
